It was a proud moment to see PV Sindhu perform like an Olympic Champion yesterday at Rio 2016. The way she is shaping up and picking up the momentum she is capable of upsetting World No. 1 today, though to me it really won’t matter even if she doesn’t. Sindhu has nothing to lose in the final today and she should go with that spirit. She is already the toast of the nation and will remain to be so till the next Olympics. She has inspired a generation of sportsmen and women of India and hopefully it will help the current and next generation of girls in our country to dream and go out and fulfill those dreams.

London 2012 out of four semi-finalists three were Chinese along with Saina and final was played between two Chinese girls. So refreshing to see that NO Chinese this time in the final.

Babita, it seems she came to the mat on a high after Sakshi’s medal and she fought with no plan and only aggression. All her moves failed and backfired on her. She is a very capable wrestler with huge potential.

Today our male wrestlers will be on test and hope they can contribute some medals in the kitty. I am hoping 2 out of three must come true.

Another exciting show of the day was Usain Bolt performance. He is by far the best athlete world has seen till now. He performs with so much ease, dignity, style and confidence. He not only run his own race but enjoys his fellow racers on the track as well. I believe during the SF race he laughed at the guy in the next lane, Canada’s De Grasse, and said “this is SF take it easy”. Only someone with no fear of performance will behave like this.
