RIO 2016 – Day 14

It was a proud moment to see PV Sindhu perform like an Olympic Champion yesterday at Rio 2016. The way she is shaping up and picking up the momentum she is capable of upsetting World No. 1 today, though to me it really won’t matter even if she doesn’t. Sindhu has nothing to lose in the final today and she should go with that spirit.

RIO 2016 – Day 13

I mentioned yesterday the key impact of these women wrestlers’ winning feat will probably be a message to Haryana and India’s patriarchal system to allow women to fulfill their dreams. This is not just A medal but a new dimension to India’s Olympic journey.

RIO 2016 – Day 8

As we get into the second week of RIO 2016, the countdown begins and with some medal hopes fading away on seventh day I am now starting to get anxious. Atanu Das shot very well but rains and the best archer in the world were not in his favor at all.

RIO 2016 – Day 7

The headlines say “India had poor day in RIO”. What is the difference between our media and Shobha De? Come on guys we have enough this time in store! We have enough to cheer for our Shooter, Boxers, Badminton team, and Tennis & Golf teams. Three of our shooters will be making their attempt to make a contribution under the leadership of Gagan.

RIO 2016 – Day 4

Am I completely heartbroken for no Indian medal till now, like thousands of other Indians reacting on social media? No, not at all! I firmly believe that every athlete qualifying for Olympics is already a champion and all of them at the Olympic stage are same

RIO 2016 – Day 1

Opening ceremony of every Olympics is always an interesting mix of host culture, history along with the energy and colors of all participating nations. It is something to look forward to and that is the reason opening ceremony tickets are always most expensive.

Do our Olympic stars really need goodwill ambassadors to support them?

Olympic is a very special platform and our athletes work very hard to emerge as a winner and we must celebrate that occasion by keeping them in the center and not steal the moment from them. Having been to London games, I feel we don’t need any Bollywood star, cricketer or any other celebrity to make the occasion special. That platform belongs to our athletes and let them be the king of the ring and create their own star power through their success and failures.
