In RIO 2016 we surely were expecting to better that number, however as we are coming closer towards the business end of RIO 2016 I am wondering if number of medals is really important or broadening our overall base.

RIO 2016 – Day 10
I hoped to celebrate I- Day eve in RIO 2016 in style but it wasn’t to be. This is what Olympics is all about and that is why it is the greatest sports stage globally. On a given day even the best can be beaten. Deepa scored better than Chinese, Korean and Uzbek gymnasts and all three of them were strong medal contenders.
RIO 2016 – Day 9
Hopefully Sania and Rohan will be better than their Czech opponent to win India’s first medal – a bronze. Deepa will also be playing for India’s first medal in Gymnastic and all of us shall be praying for her.
RIO 2016 – Day 8
As we get into the second week of RIO 2016, the countdown begins and with some medal hopes fading away on seventh day I am now starting to get anxious. Atanu Das shot very well but rains and the best archer in the world were not in his favor at all.
RIO 2016 – Day 7
The headlines say “India had poor day in RIO”. What is the difference between our media and Shobha De? Come on guys we have enough this time in store! We have enough to cheer for our Shooter, Boxers, Badminton team, and Tennis & Golf teams. Three of our shooters will be making their attempt to make a contribution under the leadership of Gagan.
RIO 2016 – Day 2
After so much of excitement, Day 1 events were disheartening for any India fan. I expected shooters to be in the medals but I guess lack of experience and pressure of performance did in.
Do our Olympic stars really need goodwill ambassadors to support them?
Olympic is a very special platform and our athletes work very hard to emerge as a winner and we must celebrate that occasion by keeping them in the center and not steal the moment from them. Having been to London games, I feel we don’t need any Bollywood star, cricketer or any other celebrity to make the occasion special. That platform belongs to our athletes and let them be the king of the ring and create their own star power through their success and failures.
Olympics eye-opener for retail practices
About a year ago, I had made up my mind to attend the Olympics in London, knowing fully well that I was going to witness a great sporting spectacle. But I had little idea then what an amazing retail experience it would turn out to be as well!
