Sindhu is young and she will have opportunity to play at least up to 2024 in Paris. She will have two more chances to go for Gold in her event. Let us recall that the success of Saina Nehwal in London 2012 brought Sindhu on the Olympic stage and Sindhu’s success will have many more like them in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

RIO 2016 – Day 13
I mentioned yesterday the key impact of these women wrestlers’ winning feat will probably be a message to Haryana and India’s patriarchal system to allow women to fulfill their dreams. This is not just A medal but a new dimension to India’s Olympic journey.
RIO 2016 – Day 12
Our girls will make an Olympic debut today in Wrestling and they seem to be quite determined to do well. If any of these girls bring a medal for India it will not only help the cause of Wrestling in India but it may turn out to be a big blessing for Haryana’s women suffering from social oppression and discrimination.
RIO 2016 – Day 11
In RIO 2016 we surely were expecting to better that number, however as we are coming closer towards the business end of RIO 2016 I am wondering if number of medals is really important or broadening our overall base.
RIO 2016 – Day 10
I hoped to celebrate I- Day eve in RIO 2016 in style but it wasn’t to be. This is what Olympics is all about and that is why it is the greatest sports stage globally. On a given day even the best can be beaten. Deepa scored better than Chinese, Korean and Uzbek gymnasts and all three of them were strong medal contenders.
RIO 2016 – Day 9
Hopefully Sania and Rohan will be better than their Czech opponent to win India’s first medal – a bronze. Deepa will also be playing for India’s first medal in Gymnastic and all of us shall be praying for her.
RIO 2016 – Day 8
As we get into the second week of RIO 2016, the countdown begins and with some medal hopes fading away on seventh day I am now starting to get anxious. Atanu Das shot very well but rains and the best archer in the world were not in his favor at all.
RIO 2016 – Day 7
The headlines say “India had poor day in RIO”. What is the difference between our media and Shobha De? Come on guys we have enough this time in store! We have enough to cheer for our Shooter, Boxers, Badminton team, and Tennis & Golf teams. Three of our shooters will be making their attempt to make a contribution under the leadership of Gagan.
RIO 2016 – Day 6
Shobha De couldn’t keep her stinky RIO 2016 broth boiling for long since most of our campaigns are back on track, except few setback in shooting. I have a feeling that her idiotic outburst against our Olympians was to draw media attention which she missed by not being called for Gau Rakshak panel discussions on news channels.
RIO 2016 – Day 5
Shobha De may not agree with me but overall it was a good day for India at RIO yesterday! Some energetic performances by Indian were the most suitable tributes to Ms DE’s views about Indian Olympians
