We are very fond of spending time in Mahabaleshwar and whenever we get a chance to visit this little hill station we don’t miss the opportunity. The sole purpose of such short breaks is to eat, shop and enjoy a comfortable stay. Discussing our overall experience of food, service and the hotel we stay in is the key to our discussions on our way back. This is just because we take our trips seriously or we are fussy customers but we are always searching for better experiences.

This time we were recommended to stay in The Bella Vista Resort by our Rotary friends and we managed to get a booking slot for the last weekend. We weren’t sure what we are going for since everything on paper looked good.

I must say right from the point of check in we found ourselves in the place we have been looking for. Next morning, the breakfast deck was a huge surprise. It was a lovely setting at a height on the corner of the property overlooking the valley supported by the great service of newly trained staff at the coffee shop. I must say we felt pampered by the care and service. Although, the plan was to have all the meals outside but just to experience the deck at night we decided to have the dinner at the same place that night. The food was average but the time spent on the deck was worth it.

I must say our overall experience from check in to checkout was good ticks in all the boxes. However, we were once again wondering if we will come back here or look for another place better than this. I guess we are always looking at raising the bar for ourselves as well as the places we stay. My observation is that Bella Vista seems to be well intended customer service place and they shall continue to raise their own standards to keep welcoming customers like us.
